"When they allow a talk show host to play them like a two-dollar banjo, they demonstrate what kind of backbone they'll bring to the job later on, if we elect them. After they get elected will they continue to allow Jeff Crank to put a nickel in them and wind them up every Saturday morning?"

Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition PAC Endorses Scott Tipton for U.S. Congress

COLORADO SPRINGS- The Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition Political Action Committee today endorsed Scott Tipton for U.S. Congress in Colorado’s Third Congressional District in contradiction to the endorsement of the National Rifle Association.

Last week the NRA endorsed Congressman John Salazar who voted for gun-control advocate Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. While Salazar has generally been good on Second Amendment issues, the most important vote he cast on gun rights in this session of Congress was to elect an anti-gun Speaker of the House.

“Scott Tipton has been a leader on gun issues in the Colorado legislature,” said Jeff Crank, President of the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition. “While Salazar has expressed support for the Second Amendment he has shown willingness to vote for and support leaders in Congress who are decidedly anti-Second Amendment. Colorado can do better by electing Scott Tipton to the U.S. Congress.”

“Unfortunately, the NRA has chosen to play it safe and endorse incumbents but that won’t advance the ball when it comes to firearms ownership,” said Crank. “While the NRA has done great work in protecting our Second Amendment rights, they are dead wrong in their endorsement of Salazar. Can any honest gun owner claim that Salazar would be better in Congress on gun rights than Scott Tipton?”

The Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition, founded in 2003 is dedicated to helping protect and defend the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution which protects an individual's right to keep and bear arms in defense of their home, person, and property and to protect against a tyrannical government.

  1. Hi Jeff,

I love your show and Americans for Prosperity! Please keep up your good work. If you ever run for office, I'll vote for you. I just left you a phone message re: FEMA wanting to make Central Colorado Springs a flood zone. This was mentioned on your show about 2 weeks ago by a caller that said FEMA came to Edison High School with 2 City Councilmen (their names seemed to start with an S and an H). You said that you'd follow up on that. If FEMA did this it could Increase Flood Insurance greatly, and I for one could not pay my mortgage and expect many would be in the same fix. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FOUND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT THIS, AND IF THERE'S ANYTHING WE RESIDENTS CAN DO TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. Thanks so much and God Bless You and yours.

  3. Police don't do justice all time. Sometimes they do mistake with the people and sometimes they do injustice with the people. So that's why some people take revenge on police. Then they carry the best semi auto pellet gun.
